As electric vehicle adoption accelerates across Texas, businesses and communities face a growing challenge: deploying charging infrastructure that is reliable, scalable, and easy to manage. Solution
To address the growing need for reliable EV infrastructure, Sunshine Renewable Solutions partnered with TeraHive to build a new charging station at a community center in Austin, Texas. Sunshine managed the installation of two EV charging units, while TeraHive provided the technology platform to support and streamline operations.
Central to the deployment was TeraHive’s Charging Station Management System (CSMS), a smart software solution that gave Sunshine real-time visibility into charger performance and energy usage. It enabled remote diagnostics, load balancing to reduce peak electricity costs, and simplified site management - all contributing to improved reliability and operational efficiency.
To complement the backend system, TeraHive also delivered an EV Driver App for Sunshine. This intuitive mobile app allows users to reserve chargers, navigate the charging site, initiate charging, and make payments - all from one place. By streamlining the charging experience for drivers, the app added significant value to the overall solution, making it easier and more convenient for the community to adopt and use the new infrastructure.
Together, the CSMS and Driver App empowered Sunshine to launch quickly, manage the site effectively, and deliver a seamless, future-ready charging experience to the Austin community.
